TabMenu Triumphs

This week's focus in our game development effort centered on crucial tasks. Notably, I achieved success in enabling the menu to deactivate seamlessly using the tab key, regardless of the last UI click. The implementation involved adept handling of on button down and on mouse down input events.
My efforts were primarily directed towards the TabMenu UI, with initial steps taken to implement a leveling up system and lay the groundwork for the inventory system in our mule project. Challenges surfaced during attempts to retarget skeletons for attack animations, prompting a shift towards addressing sprint requirements and implementing Jira tasks.
Progress was marked by the addition of a debug button for experience within the leveling up system and UI development for inventory and stats. Discussions around saving data encountered complications, particularly concerning diverse character types and levels. Despite Thanksgiving time constraints, adaptation was key, leading to UI refinements and the initiation of the inventory system for teammate integration.
Looking ahead, the focus remains on refining the TabMenu UI, with plans to continue the leveling up system. Stay tuned for more updates as our game development journey unfolds!
